Fix Netflix not Working on an LG TV:

Smart TVs have completely revolutionized home theaters. Now, we can have access to all our favorite movies and TV shows without needing extra hardware. It is just so simple and easy to play a show that is worth binge-watching just by pressing one button but it becomes a bit problematic when it does not work properly. Below, we have mentioned some of the things that you need to do if Netflix isn't working on your LG TV.

Netflix is pre-loaded on all of your LG's smart TVs, which is why it is very easy to access. You just need to first log into your account and then get started with the process. If you aren't able to resume watching the show or movie from where you left, then try to fix this problem by applying some solutions mentioned below.

1) Check Your Internet Connection

One of the solutions that you can try to fix the problem of Netflix isn't working on LG TV is to ensure that you are connected to the internet. In case you find that you are not connected to the internet, then that means Netflix is not working. First of all, you need to check that the internet is working on other devices such as your laptop and phone.

In case it is working on other devices, then reset your TV connection. You can also try resetting your router and modem if you are not able to get your TV connected. Then, let it shut down and then reconnect carefully.

When you reset your Wi-Fi connection, you can check your status on Netflix. This platform has an official support website that will let you know if you have any issues. If you see a green light, then that means your Wi-Fi is working properly and then you need to move on to the later steps.

2) Update the Firmware of LG TV

There is a chance that the Netflix app and your TV are running on different versions. These two update separately on your LG TVs. You will learn that your app updates automatically when your TV does not. Both things should update automatically. However, it doesn't work this way.

Below are the steps that you need to follow to update the firmware of your LG TV in case Netflix is not working.

Step 1: Go to the Settings button on your LG TV and then you will get to see a lot of setting logos on the left of your TV screen.

Step 2: After that, go down to the All Settings logo and select it with your remote.

Step 3: Go to the General menu selection and then select it.

Step 4: Choose the About This TV selection.

Step 5: Now, you will get to see the present software version of your LG TV. In case the software update is available, then you will see an indication for that as well. In case it does, then select the Download and Install button.

Step 6: Once you are done downloading and installing the software update, turn off and then restart your LG TV.  After that, you will be all set.

Now, you must ensure that the Allow Automatic Updates option on the About This TV selection is selected. This way, you won't have to download the updates again.

3) Delete Netflix and Then Reinstall It

Files and Cache stored on your LG TV can lead to this problem. This may stop Netflix from working properly. This may not be as scary as it sounds and you can easily fix the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. below are the steps that you need to follow.

a) Uninstall Netflix

Step 1: Press the Start or Home button on your remote for opening the launch bar.

Step 2: Start searching for Netflix on the launch bar and wait for the arrow to appear.

Step 3: Select the arrow and then click on X.

Step 4: Press OK to confirm that you want to remove the app.

b) Reinstall Netflix

Step 1: Select the Start or Home button for opening the launch bar.

Step 2: Go to the launch bar and then search for the LG Content Store and then select it.

Step 4: Use the arrows on your remote for reaching the App tab and then click on it.

Step 5: Search for Netflix and then select Install.

4) Select Location Correctly

Netflix has various libraries in other areas because of strict agreement and Netflix is not at all lenient with the rule breakers. So, if you wish to fix the service problem, then you need to return to your home market.

For instance, if you belong to the United States and you have changed your location to Australia, then you may get locked out. Rather than giving you access to one country's library. It won't let you use any.

Below are the steps that you need to follow to resolve the problem.

Step 1: Open the launch bar by pressing the Home button.

Step 2: After that, search for the Settings given at the upper-right corner.

Step 3: Choose the option of All Settings given at the end.

Step 4: Select the General option given at the left.

Step 5: Choose Location and then enter your location.
