Viewing YouTube on a larger screen will enhance your viewing experience. You'll not only have a better view, but you'll also be able to relax on your sofa with only the remote in your hand. On their smart TVs, users can watch YouTube videos.
Samsung offers a wide range of TVs and wall panels with resolutions as high as 8k. Many other “smart” features, such as Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, are also included. Many video streaming channels, such as Youtube, Netflix, and others, are preloaded on Samsung TVs.
However, several reports have recently surfaced of the Youtube app failing to launch on the TV and being stuck on the big screen once it is launched.
There are many reasons why your YouTube app on your Samsung smart TV isn't running. A bug may cause it in your smart TV device or a problem with your cache.
We have looked into the reasons for this problem and compiled a list of them below.
Cache: Applications using cache to speed up loading times and have a better user experience. This is accomplished by storing certain launch settings on the device's storage, which the app then uses to launch instead of creating new ones each time it launches.
However, these settings can become corrupted over time, causing problems with critical device features and applications, such as the YouTube app.
General Bug: There have been several reports of the television failing to open such applications properly. Attempting to load the app again when on the grey screen will often resolve the issue.
Licensing: Certain models of Samsung's Smart TVs may not be licensed to run Youtube in some cases. First, make sure your TV model is capable of running Youtube and is approved to do so.
Now that you have a basic understanding of the problem. We'll move on to the solutions How to Fix Youtube App Not Working on Samsung TV? Ensure that you execute these solutions in the order that they are mentioned.
Solution 1: Relaunching the YouTube App
The Samsung TV has a bug that makes it fail to load apps properly on time. As a result, we'll force the TV and try to reload the app while it's on the grey screen in this step. As a result:
Step 1: Open the Youtube App with your TV remote.
Step 2: If the app takes you to the "Grey Screen," press and hold the "back" arrow button before the Samsung Smart HUB appears.
Step 3: To relaunch the Youtube app, choose it once more.
Step 4: Check to see if the problem still exists.
Solution 2: Power Cycle Your Samsung Smart TV and Router
A fast restart will refresh your connection and remove any temporary files that may be causing the issue.
Step 1: Your Samsung smart TV should be turned off.
Step 2: Unplug your television, router, and modem.
Step 3: Allow at least one minute to pass.
Step 4: Connect your router and modem now.
Step 5: Reconnect your TV to the Internet once you've established a connection.
Step 6: Restart YouTube by turning on the tv.
Solution 3: Reinitializing the Cache
Since some "cached" data is likely interfering with essential system functions and preventing the app from loading, we'll power cycle the TV in this step to reinitialize the cache. As a result:
Step 1: Switch on the television and unplug it from the wall.
Step 2: For at least "30" seconds, press and hold the "Power" button on the TV.
Step 3: Reconnect the power to see if the problem still exists.
Solution 4: Reset TV to Default Settings
In certain situations, the TV will not work until it is reset to the manufacturer's default settings. As a result, in this step, we'll reset the TV to its factory settings in the hopes of resolving the issue. As a result:
Step 1: On the remote, press the "Menu" button.
Step 2: Select "Support" from the "Settings" menu.
Step 3: Highlight and click the "Reset" button after selecting the "Self Diagnosis" option.
Step 4: You will be asked for a pin after choosing reset. If you've adjusted it manually, the default pin should be "0000."
Step 5: To successfully reset the TV, enter the pin to validate the process and then follow the onscreen prompts.
Step 6: Check to see if the problem continues after the reset is completed.
