Troubleshoot Instagram not Working Properly:

Instagram is one of the most prominent social media platforms with billions of users. If you share pictures online, then you must be doing it using Instagram. Our social lives have become so dependent on this platform that it gets really annoying if the platform stops working for a short span. Worry not as there are different ways that can make Instagram work again.

How to Resolve Instagram not Working Problem?

This problem can easily be fixed by applying the right troubleshooting steps. You must try to troubleshoot this problem by applying the easiest solution and then move on to the tough ones.

Here we are available with various solutions that can help you get rid of this problem. So, let's discuss each of them one by one.

1) Try Unfollowing Accounts

Please make sure that the problem you are encountering is not related to the number of followers. This error can appear if you exceed the number of followers on Instagram. As per the phone and data cache, you have reached the maximum number of accounts, which you can follow.

If you are going through this problem, then you should unfollow accounts prior to following new ones.

Step 1: Go to the account avatar in the lower-right corner of your Instagram app.

Step 2: Select the Following option given in the upper-right corner of your screen.

Step 3: Go through the list of accounts and unfollow the accounts that you no longer want to follow.

2) Restart your App or Phone

If you find that an app is misbehaving on your device, then you must restart your system to fix cache files and corrupted memory. First of all, you must try to close the Instagram app completely.

After that, you need to run Instagram one more time. In case the issue is still appearing, then power off your Android device or iOS device and then turn it on again. After that, try using Instagram one more time.

3) Make sure Instagram is updated

In case you have not updated your apps in a long time, then that mans Instagram app you are using is outdated. You must enable automatic updates to keep all the apps updated.

If you wish to do it manually, then you must make sure that you are using the latest installed version of Instagram. You can update apps on your Android smartphone or enable the option of automatic updates on your iOS smartphone.

4) Clear the Cache

Sometimes the problem appears because of the cache stored on your device. If there is a cache problem, then that may be happening because of corrupt data. In case you are using an Android device, then you must clear the cache first. The steps may vary based on the phone or version that you are using.

Here, we are available with the general procedure for the same.

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your device.

Step 2: Select the option of Apps & Notifications.

Step 3: Open the list of apps and then select Instagram.

Step 4: Select the option of Cache and Storage.

Step 5: Now, choose the option of Clear Cache.

If you are using an iOS smartphone, then there is no way to clear the cache but to actually uninstall the Instagram app from your device. If you don't get permission, then that means Instagram is not working properly.

Start searching for permissions and turn it on to check if this resolves this issue. If you are using an Android smartphone, then below mentioned are the steps that you are required to follow.

Step 2: After that, go to the option of Apps and Notifications and then select it.

Step 3: Navigate to the list of apps and then select Instagram.

Step 4: After that, select Permissions.

Step 5: Select every permission one at a time and then select the option of Allow only while using the app. After that, select the back arrow given at the top to go back to the previous screen and then go to the next permission.

If you are using an iOS smartphone, then carry out the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Launch the Settings app.

Step 2: After that, go down to the list of apps and then select Instagram.

Step 3: Turn on every permission like Photos, Contacts, Camera, photos, and Microphone.

5) Report the Issue

If the above-mentioned troubleshooting solutions did not help you in resolving your problem, then you must go to the help center of Instagram and report the issue you are experiencing.

Step 1: Select the avatar account given at the lower-right corner of your Instagram app.

Step 2: Click on the three-line menu given at the upper-right corner and then select settings.

If you are already using Instagram on your browser and you do not have another available device, then you should try a different browser.
