Please let me know that how to fix YouTube keeps resetting to light mode. I am facing some issues while watching movies on Youtube. Help me.
Because of a bug that causes newly saved data on YouTube to be reset to the old one, YouTube keeps resetting to light mode even when set to dark mode. This data contains several settings, such as your appearance settings, language settings, autoplay video preference, and so on.
As a result, you may notice YouTube resetting your default language if you change it, or automatically playing the next video even if you turn off autoplay.
Even though YouTube claimed to have fixed the issue in 2020 and again in 2023, many users are still experiencing it. In my experience, it occurs when people open a new tab, close and re-open it’s browser, or restart their device.

Also, given that the issue occurs on multiple browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Brave, as well as the number of updates rolled out for these browsers since the issue was first reported in 2019, the bug is most likely caused by YouTube.
To stop YouTube from refreshing to light mode, expand YouTube on your web browser, press enter on the lock icon there next to the URL and select on 'Site Settings'. Then, click the 'Clear Data' button, followed by the 'Clear' button. Return to YouTube, click on your profile picture > Appearance, and then choose 'Dark theme'. After that, YouTube will remain in the dark mode.
Aside from that, there are four other ways to resolve the issue on your Windows, Mac, or mobile browsers, as well as the YouTube app.

If you set your YouTube to dark mode directly under the appearance settings on your profile, you should be aware that this dark mode is tied to your account and is only enabled on it.
In other words, you are not generally setting YouTube web or YouTube app to dark mode by doing so. When you sign in to your own Google account, you are telling YouTube to go into dark mode.
As a result, if you log out of your account or sign in to another account that is not set to dark mode, YouTube will revert to light mode by default.
Another thing you can do to prevent YouTube from reverting to light mode is to keep your browser up to date. Check if you have the most recent version of your browser, and if not, update it from the Play Store or Apple Store.
