Half of our total screen is black bars on the top and the bottom

The aspect ratio of netflix is so messed up that half of our display screen is huge black bars on the top and bottom of a very squished picture. Talking to netflix did no good what so ever as all they can say is it is the aspect ratio that it is filmed in. I sincerely hope that someone at netflix reads this....NETFILX, get a clue and let your CUSTOMERS decide what aspect ratio to watch your service in!!!!! MAKE IT ADJUSTABLE!!!!!!! I truly wish that I could include a screen shot because it is so bad that we no longer watch Netflix and will NOT return to it until it is fixed! Surely we can't possible be the only Netflix customer who has this very valid complaint? Fix it, please!!!
